Acieta RIBS

Robotically Integrated Bending Solution (RIBS)

Robotic bending undoubtedly boosts productivity. But the safety advantages and freeing up multiple operators from challenging team lifts are equally important. The RIBS (short for Robotically Integrated Bending Solutions) checks all these boxes.

RIBS is a high production fully automated cell for larger parts with options to customize layouts and integrate with pre- and post-bend operations.

Benefits

Eliminate cranes and tandem lifts at the press brake and the scramble to check an angle and then re-hit a heavy part. RIBS systems streamline production of high volume parts like mower decks and enclosure panels. Plus, the Diamond BH’s unmatched accuracy and consistency makes true unattended operation feasible.

A major benefit of Mitsubishi’s partnership with Aceita is the customization we can offer in automated bending. Swap in a higher tonnage brake or a 400kg capacity Fanuc robot, replace the pallet infeed with a conveyor, or even have the cell bundle and band finished parts. Like our laser automation, RIBS cells can be modified and grow with your needs.

Cell Specs and Options

  • Diamond BH series press brake. 149 to 275 ton. Unique dual-drive (ball screw-hydraulic hybrid) brings unmatched repeatability to automated bending.
  • Fanuc Robotics. Best out there and sized to suit your needs. The robot in this clip is 700kg capacity. RTU is a popular option for added cell capability.
  • Flexible infeed-outfeed. Manually load pallets or integrate AGVs, conveyors.
  • Tool changing. Robotic tool changing or via ATC for more tool storage.
