Diamond ATC

Simple, accessible, and remarkably efficient, the ATC series from Mitsubishi can help shops excel at high-mix/low-volume work.
ATC brakes handle the entire tooling setup and storage process. This cuts setup times to mere minutes for even complex stage bending. Most of the Diamond BH series of brakes are available as an ATC.
The system can automatically change tools by scheduled jobs or at the press of a button while the operator tends to other tasks. A robust single manipulator can accommodate larger tooling segments, further reducing setup time and tool marks. The machine cleans the bed and tooling during a tool change, removing this as an additional step like in other ATC systems.
Faster and Safer Bending
ATC brakes boost production by cutting down on tool set-ups times. Most shops operate on a high-mix low-volume model, meaning tool setups are constantly changing and eating in to green light on time. ATCs are great for this reason, but they are also helpful for newer operators and to automate lifting heavy tooling segments.
Built to Keep your Shop Floor Busy
If a one-off hot job comes up that needs a setup not in the ATC, an operator can still easily manually load the brake. Plus, with the ability to create new programs and setups directly at the control or offline through DiamondBend, the ATC is flexible enough to work with your operators—not against them. That means more parts per shift, fewer scrapped parts, and easier transitions between shifts.
VIDERE Operator Support System
Videre supports operators with real-time information and directions projected onto the machine. Standard feature of all Diamond ATC brakes. See an operator guided through a 9-bend part using this system in the video below:
Additional Features
Tool storage – Options ranging from 107.28’ (32m) up to 170.60’ (52m) of tooling, allowing the greatest variation of tooling storage ranging from high runner V openings to specialized tooling, such as hemming or offset tooling.
Uncompromising Brake Precision – Diamond doesn’t make a B-tier brake with fewer features or cheaper components. While other vendors push ATC brakes on lower tier models, Diamond BH brakes are the most accurate, sport the fastest ram speed, and are incredibly efficient and reliable. So if you are choosing to boost production on just one brake, making it a Diamond pays dividends.
For instance, Angle Measurement Systems are available on Diamond Brakes, but repeat customers rarely but it. Its a nice feature, but existing customers know the precision and consistency of Diamond brakes alone hits their standards.
Tool Usage Flexibility – Machines equipped with the ATC are not limited to using tools from the tool changer’s storage. Operators can use the machine as a stand-alone press brake, as well as an automated system. This gives the operator flexibility for hot jobs, one-offs, or jobs that utilize tooling not stored in the tool changer allowing for greater flexibility over other ATC systems.
