Tony Hangartner
Partner, Service and Applications Lead

Following the completion of Northwestern Technical College’s laser program, Tony has worked for 20 as a laser operator, applications engineer and technician. He is valued by customers as one of the best in the business. When Tony is not on the road he is spending time with his family in Antigo, fishing, and managing his sons’ and daughters’ baseball teams.

John Wettstein
Partner, Sales Lead

With 25 years of experience in the industry, John is knowledgeable when it comes to fitting the right fabrication equipment to customers’ needs. He enjoys working as a liaison between equipment manufacturers and customers, and trying to resolve issues for both parties. A Fond du Lac native, John currently lives with his family in the Milwaukee area.

Dave Whorrall
Sales and Application Engineer

Dave has an extensive laser background. He is a graduate of NTC’s laser and MSOE’s manufacturing engineering programs and has taught laser courses at area technical colleges. As an ex-shop owner himself, Dave is Northland’s lead resource for introducing customers to laser technology and its benefits. A veteran (Navy diver), Dave is currently involved in the building of health clinics in Central America as a leader of a New Holstein, WI-based charity, making yearly trips to Honduras.

About Northland Laser

Northland has installed roughly 100 Mitsubishi lasers over the past decade or so, the majority including automation.

Northland works with Mitsubishi’s own excellent factory laser service group, to complement their efforts in supporting customers in Wisconsin and the U.P.

Personnel work out of their homes/cars, as we do not have a central office or showroom. But we are pleased to arrange a showing of equipment at the manufacturer’s showroom or a customer’s facility, and will cover whatever travel expenses might be incurred to make it happen.

Support of Mitsubishi laser automation and press brakes, AKS plasma and waterjet, and Virtek inspection equipment is primarily handled by the respective manufacturer’s service groups. However, we are involved on a local basis by coordinating the service response, and making sure issues have been addressed.

A fair percentage of the annual laser support work performed by Northland is on a complimentary basis. For example, we do on-site applications and maintenance for lasers for the first year following installation at no charge. Our primary goal for offering laser service is to foster and support new laser sales.
