In a bold move, Mitsubishi Electric has announced the acquisition of ASTES4. Based in Switzerland, ASTES4 designs and builds robotic part removal and sorting automation, and their patented technology is considered the leader in this field. Their “Lasorting” system features four robotic arms that load a new sheet, remove and stack up to four parts at one time, unload the remnant, and even clean the slats.
