Mitsubishi Customers Promote 2015 MFG DAY

With their new Mitsubishi eX laser in the background, Miro Tool (Waukesha) owner Jeff Brown speaks with Wisconsin senator Ron Johnson as part of the 2015 MFG DAY program. Other state participants included Waukesha Metal Products (Grafton/Waukesha) who hosted senator Tammy Baldwin, while governor Walker visited GenMet (Mequon).  High school students, a primary focus of this annual event, were also welcomed at these facilities with instructional tours.

In just four years MFG DAY has grown to become one of industry’s most popular promotions. Supported by the FMA and other sponsors, it is designed to emphasize the importance of manufacturing to the US economy and to amplify the common concerns of individual manufacturers.  One such concern is the shortage of skilled labor, hence the importance of the outreach shown by these and other customers to young people to communicate the value of a manufacturing career.
